I took a walk today into a wildlife preserve nearby. A woodpecker dashed between trees while the wind played through the remaining oak leaves, softly, much like a soft shoe dance. Though winter was quiet today and most trees empty and bare I felt gratitude. The rustle of dry, browned, withered leaves reminded me of the beauty that’s here though winter lays the land quiet. My Native American elder friends would often remind us to do everything with an attitude of gratitude…Caroline Myss reminds us that every thought, word, and deed carries our name into infinity….so today I would like to end this month of January with gratitude. A reminder for me and a reminder for you….may the gratitude we feel for our precious life and all we share sail up to the moon and reach beyond the stars. Enjoy, Judith
